River End Games revealed the debut trailer of their first adventure stealth-action game, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream at the Future Games Show 2024.
The game is set in Eriksholm, a large northern city inspired by early 20th century Scandinavia. The plot revolves around the main character, Hanna, who embarks on a journey to find her missing brother, which triggers a series of tragic events that developers claim will forever change the fate of the heroes and the entire city.
The gameplay of Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream requires exploration of the vast city by controlling three characters, each with unique abilities. Players will constantly determine which character should handle new areas, solve puzzles, or outsmart enemies.
The stealth-action game’s teaser features actual game scenes interleaved with cinematic story inserts. Commenters on Youtube especially appreciated the detailed facial animation of characters.
Developers have hinted at certain gameplay strategies for the stealth-action game: “Observe the behavior of the guards, pay attention to environmental clues, and find unconventional solutions to challenging situations. Carefully examine your surroundings, use hiding spots, and distract enemies to avoid detection.”
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S in 2025. It will include text translation in Russian.
