Bethesda Announces the Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Anthology for PC – Seven Games from the Series in a Miniature Nuclear Bomb Collectible

Bethesda Softworks is pleasing Fallout fans with a fascinating surprise as the much-anticipated Amazon series, inspired by the iconic post-apocalyptic role-playing games, is about to air.

The publisher has announced a new PC game compilation called Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Anthology. This collection contains all seven primary releases of the franchise:

  • Fallout
  • Fallout 2
  • Fallout Tactics
  • Complete Edition of Fallout 3
  • Complete Edition of Fallout: New Vegas
  • Complete Edition of Fallout 4
  • Fallout 76

What makes this anthology unique is its packaging. Activation codes for the listed games are presented on cards resembling attributes from the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. role-playing system. All of this is packaged in a miniature nuclear bomb.

For clarity, Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Anthology does not come with an actual weapon of mass destruction. Bethesda has merely prepared a bomb-shaped box (which the company jokes is disarmed) capable of simulating the sound of an explosion.

Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Anthology will hit the shelves on April 11th this year and cost $60. Pre-orders are now available via Bethesda’s official store, though shipping is limited to the US and Canada.

As for the Fallout series, it will premiere on Prime Video one day after the game release, on April 12th. Set in the year 2296, the main characters are Lucy from Vault 33, Brotherhood of Steel’s novice Maximus, and bounty hunter Ghoul.

A full-length trailer for the series was released in December, causing quite a stir among fans. With more than 17 million views to date, it’s reported that the series’s storyline will become an official part of the franchise’s canon.
