Colorful has released the B760M iGame Ultra Z motherboard with rear ports.

In an industry first, Colorful has launched the B760M iGame Ultra Z motherboard. The product is specifically designed to support Intel Core processors of the 12th, 13th, and 14th generations. The Micro-ATX formatted product is distinct because the main power connectors are located on the backside, a feature seen previously in only a few of Colorful’s graphics card models.

With the Colorful motherboard, not all connectors are hidden on the backside. Only those required for power and fan connection are located there, along with SATA ports. Conventional front-side location is maintained for RGB lighting connectors, USB ports and CMOS battery on the B760M iGame Ultra Z model.

The new model incorporates a 14-phase VRM power subsystem with a 12+1+1 phase design. This configuration is well-suited to high-end processors like the Core i9.

The motherboard is capable of supporting high-speed RAM up to 7200 MT/s through overclocking profiles. It also offers three M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 x4 standard SSDs, an additional PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for the graphics card, and one PCIe 3.0 x4 slot for other peripherals.

Priced at 1199 yuan (approximately $167), the Colorful B760M iGame Ultra Z motherboard is competitively priced. Especially given that the distinctive feature of backside power connector positioning has so far only been seen in more expensive models, like the recently launched Asus Z790 ROG Maximus BTF Hero valued at 800 euros. However, potential buyers need to ensure their PC case can accommodate motherboards with rear-mounted connectors.
