What’s a good program to use to assign ringtones to contacts?

Why this feature didn’t come built in the phone is beyond my comprehension but I was wondering are there any programs I can download that have this feature?

Try PhonExt… it uses ringtones by assigning them to categories… the best thing – it’s FREE. Thanks PhonExt!!!

Can someone confirm that they have PhonExt working on their 6315?

I have never been able to get it to work on mine.

Google may be our friend, but that page isn’t. It hasn’t come up for me at all in the last three days since harleyxlc suggested Pic&Ring.

I am using an Ipaq 6365 with PPC 2003. PhonExt can be installed and set up on my Ipaq. However when the phone ringing, it does use only the wav file as set up, the sound level remains the same; e.g. very very soft! It seems like PhonExt does not comunicate 100% with the PPC version. Any other experience?

That matches my experience with PhonExt. I’ll bet it is written to the ril and not tapi.

I use MTUX.COM’s RintoneX app, seems to work pretty well. Only problem i ran into is using the storage card, it makes a copy of the file in the windows ring folder even tho it reads the file from the storage card.
