Gigabyte Unveils the TRX50 AI TOP Motherboard
Gigabyte has launched the TRX50 AI TOP motherboard. Designed in the E-ATX form factor, this innovative product is set for workstations powered by AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 and Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 processors.
Specifications and Features
The TRX50 AI TOP motherboard is built on a 14-layer circuit board and equipped with a 28-phase VRM power subsystem with a 16+8+4 phase scheme. The motherboard offers four PCIe x16 slots supporting the PCIe 5.0 standard. However, with the lower-end processors, one of these slots will operate as PCIe 4.0.
Additional features of the Gigabyte TRX50 AI TOP include four M.2 NVMe slots and eight DIMM slots for DDR5 memory modules. It also boasts two 10-gigabit network adapters powered by Marvell AQtion AQC113C controllers, Wi-Fi 7 support via Qualcomm QCNCM865 module, and two audio codecs. One codec serves the front panel audio ports, while the other serves the rear.
Port Availability
The board also features two USB4 ports (one supports the DisplayPort alternate mode), one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20 Gbps), eleven USB Type-A (5 Gbps), and four SATA III. The manufacturer adds that the board features a UC BIOS with a User-Centred intuitive UX with Quick Access feature. However, the company doesn’t elaborate on how it differs from the typical UEFI.
Gigabyte has yet to disclose the price of the TRX50 AI TOP motherboard.
