InWin has launched the new Mid-Tower D5 computer case. Contrary to the stylistic liberty often adopted in the design of the manufacturer’s recent products, the D5 case features a classic exterior appearance.
The InWin D5 measures 494 × 220 × 473 mm and weighs 8.3 kg. It is equipped with a mesh front panel to enhance cooling efficiency and a tempered glass side panel. The side covers are designed to attach without screws, simplifying assembly and disassembly. An additional feature is a headphone hook located on the front.
The case supports motherboards in E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, or Mini-ITX formats. A unique feature of this case is that it allows the use of motherboards with connectors located on the back. There are seven expansion slots, six of which can be rotated 90 degrees for vertical graphics card installation.
Inside the InWin D5, there’s enough space to install a CPU cooler up to 165 mm high and a graphics card up to 365 mm long. The case comes with an adjustable stand for the latter. There is also room for a power supply unit up to 180 mm long. The case has a combined mounting space for a single 3.5-inch or two 2.5-inch drives, and two additional spaces for 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives.
InWin has equipped the new case with a pre-installed 120 mm Neptune AN120 fan. It has an airflow capacity of up to 60 CFM and operates at a noise level of no more than 20.5 dBA. Overall, the case supports the installation of up to six 120 or 140 mm fans and has a mounting place for a 120 mm spinner, which is already taken. It also supports liquid cooling systems with 280 and 360 mm front and top radiators.
The case’s front panel features one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen1, and a combined 3.5mm audio output.
InWin has not yet released any pricing information for the D5 case.
