Microsoft reveals which Xbox exclusives will be released on PlayStation and Switch and when

Nintendo, Bethesda Softworks, and Microsoft have confirmed that four Xbox exclusives, previously teased last week, will be made available on their competitor’s consoles.

In a February Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase announcement, they declared that the historical detective game, Pentiment and survival simulator Grounded, both developed by Obsidian Entertainment, would be released on Nintendo Switch.

The wait for these games will not be long: Pentiment will hit the Switch market on the 22nd of February, and the release for Grounded is set for April 16. The first game was previewed with a trailer, while the second was highlighted with its own unique showcase, seen below.

In other news, Bethesda Softworks’ Latin American division prematurely released a PS5-version announcement trailer for rhythm-action game Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks. The release is scheduled for the 19th of March.

Sources from Insider Gaming and insider Tom Henderson suggest that the game may not appear on the Switch, but on its successor instead, now planned for release in the first quarter of 2025.

Following the leak, Microsoft officially confirmed Hi-Fi Rush will be made available for the PS5, and added that Pentiment and Grounded will also debut on PS4 and PS5—on the same day they are set to launch on the Nintendo Switch.

In addition, Microsoft also revealed the next destination for Sea of Thieves, developed by Rare, will be the PS5. Arriving later than the other formerly Xbox-exclusive games, the date for the pirate-themed online combat game is set for April 30.
