MSI revealed its unique GeForce RTX 4090 Suprim Fuzion and RTX 4080 Super Expert Fuzion graphics cards at Computex 2024. Their distinctive feature lies in their unique cooling systems, where the radiator for each is situated within the card’s casing, deviating from the conventional layout.
Information about the GeForce RTX 4090 Suprim Fuzion model leaked a few days ahead of Computex 2024. It features a “patented closed liquid cooling system.” The cooler is equipped with two fans, with one likely cooling the liquid in the radiator while the other is used for additional cooling of the graphics card components.
TechPowerUp got a closer look at the GeForce RTX 4080 Super Expert Fuzion at the exhibition. They found that the liquid cooling system for the graphics card was designed by Cooler Master.
The graphic card’s cooling system also employs two fans positioned on either side of the accelerator. One circulates cool air, while the other dispels hot air.
The unusual graphic card’s coolant is equipped with a low-profile pump which is integrated with a water block consisting of a large copper base, with micro-channels within the GPU region and fins on its edges. The copper plate comes into contact with not only the GPU but also the surrounding memory chips.
Despite its liquid cooling system, the GeForce RTX 4080 Super Expert Fuzion appears similar to the conventional Expert model, which we have previously reviewed. The outsized dimensions, however, reveal the different cooler.
MSI refrains from divulging the cost of the GeForce RTX 4090 Suprim Fuzion and GeForce RTX 4080 Super Expert Fuzion graphics cards as well as their potential launch date.
