MSI Unveils the Stylish GeForce RTX 4080 Super EXPERT Videocard, Similar to NVIDIA Founders Edition.

MSI Unveils Elegant GeForce RTX 4080 Super EXPERT at CES 2024

At CES 2024 expo, tech firm MSI announced their newest addition to the GeForce series, the RTX 4080 Super, from their EXPERT product line. This latest model fuses a minimalist yet attractive exterior design resembling NVIDIA’s Founders Edition graphics card designs.

NVIDIA’s GeForce Announcements Prompt Customized Alternatives

Post NVIDIA’s unveiling of the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Super cards, several partner companies launched their customized versions of these GPUs. Most integrations offered small factory overclockings and used cooling systems identical to predecessors or other RTX 40 series models. MSI distinguished itself by launching the GeForce RTX 4080 Super EXPERT, indicative of their meticulous pre-production preparations.

Inspired Design and Superior Cooling Technology

Wccftech reporters at CES 2024 noted that MSI’s cooling system design for their GeForce RTX 4080 Super EXPERT was strongly reminiscent of the RTX 4080 Founders Edition’s look.

MSI’s EXPERT graphics card boasts a premium-looking all-aluminum champagne-colored cooling casing and reinforcing backplate, without any plastic inclusions.

The novel GPU’s cooling system incorporates evaporative chamber technology combined with heat pipes to effectively transfer heat from the GPU to the radiator. It uses dual Zero Frozr fans in a push-pull configuration – similar to Founders Edition – enhancing radiator cooling. The graphics card doesn’t feature any RGB lighting, recognizing its potential redundancy here.

Powering the GeForce RTX 4080 Super EXPERT is a standalone 600W 12V-2×6 connector, an upgrade from the previous 12VHPWR.

MSI’s Future in the EXPERT Series Line

For now, only the GeForce RTX 4080 Super is set to launch under the EXPERT series. MSI’s move is to gauge consumer responses to their new offering. Based on positive feedback, the EXPERT series could potentially expand to include other models.
