Moon Studios Reveals New Details of ‘No Rest for the Wicked’

During the Wicked Inside presentation, the game developers from Moon Studios, known for the Ori duology, unveiled new details about their isometric role-playing action game ‘No Rest for the Wicked,’ which fuses elements of Dark Souls and Diablo.

The game’s events will unfold on Sakra Island, beset by a power struggle and a plague turning people into monsters called the Mora. The protagonist, a member of an ancient sect fighting the Mora, arrives on Sakra to combat this menace.

Moon Studios promises a seamless, interactive, and detail-rich open world in ‘No Rest for the Wicked,’ handcrafted without procedural generation. The game will feature dynamic weather changes and expressive landscapes.

The developers showcased 16 minutes of pure gameplay during the presentation, highlighting island exploration, regular enemy and boss battles, a flexible class system, diverse equipment set, and endgame content.

Players can take a break in-between quests and buy property in the town of Sacrament, with also offers a flexible interior design system. The town can be developed further to expand available opportunities.

‘No Rest for the Wicked’ Entering Early Access Soon

As revealed during Wicked Inside, ‘No Rest for the Wicked’ begins its early access period on PC through Steam on April 18th. The final version is set to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S, with text translation available in Russian.

The game will continue to evolve during the early access stage: the first major patch will introduce multiplayer gameplay (co-op and PvP), while the second will bring new regions, enemies, and storyline content. Future updates are expected to improve the game’s story, systems, and gameplay mechanics.
