Nvidia reveals when ray tracing will be introduced to Diablo IV and demonstrates Black Myth: Wukong with path tracing.

Nvidia has revealed a range of new and upcoming games that will be endowed with ray tracing and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) support, ahead of the GDC 2024 Developers Conference.

Role-playing action game Diablo IV, is set to receive an update on March 26th that introduces ray tracing. This new feature will enhance the appearance of reflective surfaces such as armor, water, and windows.

An update dated March 14th has added support for DLSS 3.5 with ray reconstruction, and RTX IO, a game-loading accelerator, in ‘Portal with RTX’. A patch released on March 12th integrated DLSS 3 into Sengoku Dynasty.

The highly-anticipated Chinese action game, Black Myth: Wukong, is set to launch on August 20th with full ray tracing and DLSS 3.5. The above video provides an initial look at the game with these technologies in action.

Also, the ambitious open-world action game Star Wars Outlaws will be launched with path tracing, DLSS 3, and Reflex, and will support RTX Direct Illumination. Enhancements to shadows and global illumination using ray tracing are promised.

Moreover, the battle royale affair, Naraka: Bladepoint, will integrate path tracing and DLSS 3.5 in the foreseeable future. The role-playing action game, The First Berserker: Khazan, will support DLSS 3 and Reflex from the outset.

Nvidia reported in December that the DLSS technology has boosted performance in over 500 released games and applications since launch. The full list can be viewed on the company’s website.
