The organizers of Summer Game Fest 2024 announced that the festival-opening game presentation will be held overnight from June 7 to June 8— the show is scheduled to commence at 0:00 Moscow time.
The live broadcast of the Summer Game Fest 2024 opening ceremony is expected to last approximately two hours, featuring various announcements and trailers, as well as providing a first glimpse of the most anticipated games and what to expect from the gaming industry going forward.
Geoff Keighley will reprise his role as the host of the Summer Game Fest 2024. He is also the event’s organizer and curator. The show’s broadcast can be followed via YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, X, Steam, and other platforms.
Following the opening of the Summer Game Fest 2024, the indie show Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition will take place, and from June 8th to 10th, invited journalists and bloggers will have the opportunity to attend the Summer Game Fest Play Days event.
The upcoming ceremony will mark the fifth in the history of the Summer Game Fest. The previous year’s show featured announcements for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, among various other projects.
The live broadcast of Summer Game Fest 2023 attracted a total of 34 million viewers, marking a 26% increase from the 2022 figures. At its peak, over 3.8 million people were simultaneously following the broadcasts.
