Following Resident Evil Village and the remake of Resident Evil 4, Japanese developer and publisher Capcom plans to release two of its popular horror series games on iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac in 2023.
Resident Evil 7 Launch Details
On 2 July, Resident Evil 7 will be released on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPads and Macs equipped with an M1 chip or better. Capcom unveiled the game with screenshots from iPhone 15 Pro but did not release a trailer.
Features and Enhancements
Resident Evil 7 versions for the iPhone and iPad will feature improved control schemes and a new auto-fire function. There will be support for compatible Bluetooth controllers across all the listed Apple devices.
Pre-orders and Extras
Pre-orders for Resident Evil 7 in the App Store are slated for today, 10 June. The base game and Not A Hero DLC will be released bundled, while upgrading to the Gold edition will unlock access to the following extras:
- End of Zoe;
- Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2;
- a set of five bonus coins;
- a survivor’s bundle of in-game items;
- unlocking of Madhouse difficulty level.
Resident Evil 2 Development in Progress
The remake of Resident Evil 2 is currently under development for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac. There are no release dates or screenshots available for this revised second part of the horror series.
Additional Features
Both Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2 for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac will support MetalFX scaling, universal purchases and save progress transfer. Both games will also include a free prologue.
Console-level Quality
Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2 for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac promise console-level quality for customers. Prices for these ports have not been revealed yet, but Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 were sold at full price.
