On the heels of the recent leak, Atlus, a renowned publisher and developer, has officially announced Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance – a vastly enhanced and additional content-packed version of the Japanese role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei V.
Introducing the Canon of Vengeance
Vengeance includes a new narrative campaign called Canon of Vengeance. This advanced feature highlights an epic tale of revenge starring unfamiliar characters, an extra dungeon, a demoness quartet Qadištu, and an exclusive map to navigate.
Fascinatingly, while Canon of Vengeance begins with the SMT V script, it veers off dramatically during the game’s second part, leading to a completely different ending. Players can also opt to explore the original campaign, Canon of Creation.
What’s New in Vengeance
Moreover, Vengeance introduces new demons (270 in total) and music, featuring an “enhanced player-friendly gameplay”. It also improves all core systems – including battles, monster merging, negotiations with them, and location explorations.
In addition to this, Vengeance boasts demons and quests from previously sold separate addons to the base game: A Goddess in Training, The Doctor’s Last Wish, The Rage of a Queen, and Return of the True Demon.
Availability
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is set to hit market shelves on June 21 for Nintendo Switch, along with new target platforms – PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. Pre-orders will kick off on February 27.
