Sony Confirms God of War Ragnarok PC Release — PSN Account Linking Required

Sony and Santa Monica Studio have officially announced the PC edition of the critically acclaimed God of War Ragnarok game during the State of Play May presentation. Sony has also revealed the game’s release date and the main features of the port.

The PC version of God of War Ragnarok is set to release on September 19 of this year via Steam and the Epic Game Store. This announcement was accompanied by a 90-second gameplay trailer.

The standard edition of the game on PC will cost $60, with the deluxe edition retailing for $70, which also includes early access to in-game items, a mini art book, and the game’s soundtrack. However, the game will not be available in Russia.

Features for the PC version of God of War Ragnarok include support for Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, Intel XeSS 3.1, widescreen monitors (21:9, 32:9), 4K resolution, and an unlocked frame rate.

Unlike the game Ghost of Tsushima, a PlayStation Network account will be essential for playing God of War Ragnarok on PC; the game will also be unavailable in 180 other countries where a PlayStation account cannot be officially created.

Story-wise, the Spartan Kratos and his son Atreus are set to explore all Nine Worlds of Norse mythology on the brink of Ragnarok. The PC version will include the Valhalla story expansion and a “New Game+” mode.

God of War Ragnarok made its debut on PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022, earning high scores (94% on Metacritic) and selling over 15 million copies. Studio Jetpack Interactive is assisting with the PC port.
