Why did HP Select T-Mobile as the provider for the h6300

Q. How many carriers will support this product at time of launch, and who are they?

A. We will be launching the HP iPAQ h6300 in conjunction with T-Mobile in the United States. It will be a co-branded HP and T-Mobile product.

Q. Why did HP choose to launch this product first with T-Mobile here in the US instead of another carrier?

A. T-Mobile offers the right combination of technologies and capabilities such as:

• TMO offers a nationwide voice and data network to support connectivity when on the go.

• TMO has deployed an extensive Wi-Fi Hot Spot network with over 9,000 locations in the US to enable customers to take full advantage of the high-speed Wi-Fi features of the h6300.

• TMO has global pricing plans through their relationship with Deutche Telecom to enable voice and data services around the world.

Q. What are the details of the T-Mobile service agreement for this device? Will subscribers be privy to discounts on additional items?

A. The T-Mobile rate plans are aggressive and offer a combination of radio technologies (voice and data plans) where an HP customer can buy a wireless voice and data plan and get Wi-Fi unlimited all for under $80. We believe that most customers will opt for plans in this price range.

Q. Is there an exclusive agreement to sell this product with T-Mobile for a certain period?

A. We are initially bringing this product to market with T-Mobile and then will look to certify this product under additional carriers. We cannot go into additional details about carrier agreements.
