HP BT keyboard and Stowaway travel mouse? Read the review of the TO travel mouse and understood that the mouse should be able to work alongside the HP BT keyboard. Elsewhere I have heard the contrary. Can anyone confirm that this combination works with the latest mouse driver (4.2), alternatively with 4.1. (but not older drivers since they don’t support “real VGA” which I am using all the time on my hx4700). Best regards Filologen |

I use the HP BT Keyboard with the TO BT mouse on my 4700. what did you do to get them working together? There are many folks, including myself, who have never been able to get this combo working. Neither HP or TO will help in this combo…. |

I found it relatively easy right from the beginning. I do follow a process that works for me. I start the keyboard first then the mouse. I have found on occasion that the mouse will appear to be erratic in it movement but I believe it is because there is communication going on with the keyboard….different drivers working I think. You can change the mouse from enhanced mode to safe mode and that helps but I tend to keep it in enhanced mode. Of course, the TO keyboard and mouse combination work perfectly.
Sometimes I find that my BT won’t recognize the TO drivers…it is using the HP drivers and won’t switch over. I should point out that when I am “surfing” our forums, more often than not I use the TO BT keyboard and mouse combination only because there is never a problem. …and (my mind is still working on this), if I an using my HP keyboard, shutting off the Power Efficient Mode on the mouse definitely helps. Just another thought Compusmurf You can use the HP keyboard all alone…correct? You can use the mouse all alone…correct? If yes, then set the mouse up for OFF on Mode Economique. shut it off…turn off blue tooth and reset your device. Now start the HP keyboard (don’t turn on BT, let the program do it). Type a bit…just to make sure your running Now start the mouse…sometimes, I try to start the mouse and it just seems to sit there. If that occurs, I click on DISABLE and start over. I have never not been able to connect. If I do get the erratic behavior and if it is such that it is a PIA, I will reset and do it over. I have always been able to get it to work.
I truly believe it is a conflict with the different drivers so order on turning on is important. …and one final thought (sorry about the multiple posts) If I am going on the net, start WiFI first, connect the keyboard second and finally the mouse. That is the only order that works for me with my 4700. On my 2750…it doesn’t matter.

Was playing with it tonight. I “sort of” got them to work, guess I had to disable the TO keyboard “manually” then enable. Boy, see what you mean about the mouse being jumpy. What a mess. The only reason to use my HP keyboard would be the number keys. Really wish TO would have put those BACK on the BT keyboard and then it WOULD have been perfect! Since the HP BT and TO mouse is such a screwy mess, it’s not worth the effort for me.
It’s nice to turn on BT, type a few keys and wiggle the mouse to have them both synced up and working……… |

Hi Jack I would just like to thank you very much for all the advices given. I have just received my mouse and it works (so far) perfectly with my HP BT keyboard. It really helped to set the mouse up for OFF on Mode Economique
