You can set up Bluetooth Dial Up Networking to allow your laptop to access the internet via your 6315. |

How about with Mac OSX? I can’t pair it as a phone. Only another device. Any Ideas? Thanks,

I’m not sure about Mac… but you shouldn’t have to pair it “as” a phone or anything specific. Simply pair it… then check on the Mac what services are available from the apired device…. bluetooth dial-ip networking should be there. |

Out of curiousity, why would you want to dial an ISP rather than the internal numbers? |

I don’t… I want to use GPRS, but the Mac does not see the Ipaq as a phone or modem. Maybe 3rd part SW could fill this gap. On the sprint side, they say it goes against their contract. One thing to note that is noce about the 6315 on t-mobile is I can be browsing the web and get a call. On Spint it just goes right into V-mail…another strike against the Sprint Treo650. Of course Cingular just anounced the treo650. about 10 days left on my HP trial. I am hopeing for a BT SW fix.. troy |

I’ve yet to hear anyone actually getting this to work. I heard their is a bug in the bluetooth software and it wont work as is today. It’s supposed to be fixed in the next update release (whenever that is) and then should allow share GPRS through bluetooth. |

On my 6340 with German OS (ROM 1.00.14) this worked from the very first day. Paired my Toshiba Laptop via Bluetooth and can use German T-Mobile GPRS to access the Internet and Email from the Laptop. |

When you say “dial ISP” Do you mean we should be able to connect to our phone via bluetooth, and piggy back off the WiFi connection? I guess that might be cool if your laptop doesnt have a WiFi Card. I heard the unofficial ROM update allows the GPRS modem via bluetooth to work finally. I’m going to test it soon. http://lvlolvlo.net/pda/romupdate.htm |
