AirPlus G Wireless Pocket Router/AP captures PC magazine’s highest award

D-Link announced today that its AirPlus(TM) G Wireless Pocket Router/AP captured PC magazine’s highest award, the PC Magazine Editor’s Choice in the February 8th issue of the magazine. The near perfect review places the D-Link AirPlus G Wireless Pocket Router/AP (DWL-G730AP) as the top portable wireless connectivity device thanks to its small size, excellent range and robust network configurations.

According to the review written by PC Magazine Labs’ director of operations, Craig Ellison, “In a market where size matters, the D-Link travel router is the new champ: It’s the smallest, but still delivers a full feature set. The DWL-G730AP’s three-position Mode switch is marked much more clearly than it is on the competing products, making it simple to switch between router mode, access point, and Ethernet client mode.” Upon giving the D-Link AirPlus G Pocket Router the PC Magazine Editor’s Choice Award, Ellison continued, “The router/firewall code is essentially the same as you’d find in D-Link’s top-end routers. The DWL-G730AP’s small size and good performance help make it our current favorite travel router for road-going professionals.”

“We are extremely pleased and honored to have PC Magazine Labs’ own director of operations present the pocket router with this coveted award,” said Steven Joe, president and CEO of D-Link. “This award validates all the hard work and dedication that our engineers have put into this product.”
