D-Link announced today that its AirPlus(TM) G Wireless Pocket Router/AP captured PC magazine’s highest award, the PC Magazine Editor’s Choice in the February 8th issue of the magazine. The D-Link Wireless Pocket Router/AP provides business travelers with a simple and flexible wireless network no matter where they travel. A small switch on the back of the unit allows users to easily select one of the three wireless modes: Router/Firewall, Access Point and Wireless Client modes. The integrated DHCP server that automatically assigns IP addresses to multiple connected devices, supports VPN Pass-through and includes a set of robust firewall features, including Network Address Translation (NAT) and MAC filtering. While in Access Point mode, the Wireless Pocket Router/AP can connect multiple wireless devices, such as laptops and PDAs, to a single Internet connection, be it a hotel or a conference room location.
