Adobe’s AI artist Firefly now available on mobile devices via the Express app

Adobe has recently incorporated the artificial intelligence (AI)-based Firefly image generator into its Express application for Android and iOS mobile devices. The move will significantly broaden users’ image creation and editing capabilities away from their desktops.

Users of Adobe Express can now generate images using verbal cues and tweak, remove and reposition individual elements within the pictures. The app lets users make edits, remove backgrounds, and resize images with a tap. Subscribers of Adobe Creative Cloud can import and modify Illustrator and Photoshop projects in Express.

In the ongoing beta-testing phase, enhanced features of Adobe Express Premium are offered free of charge. However, Adobe plans to shift these features to a paid subscription costing $10 per month. Interested individuals seeking to participate in the tests need to register with Adobe.

The cloud-based Adobe Express platform, launched in 2021, gained Firefly AI support back in August last year, although it was initially limited to PCs.
