Intel to unveil new products at Taiwan’s Computex exhibition
According to a press release by TAITRA, the Taiwan external trade development council, Intel will present its next-generation products for data centres and consumer segment at this year’s Computex exhibition, Taiwan’s electronics show.
Anticipated Announcement: Arrow Lake Processors
It is likely that Intel will announce Arrow Lake series processors for PCs and laptops in the consumer segment. If this is the case, the exhibition will provide an excellent opportunity for motherboard manufacturers to showcase the new generation of products with an LGA 1851 processor socket, which would be utilized by Arrow Lake chips.
Keynote Speech by Intel’s CEO
Pat Gelsinger, Intel’s CEO, will present a keynote at Computex 2024, according to TAITRA. The theme for this year’s show is artificial intelligence, and Gelsinger’s presentation will focus on the next generation of products for data centres and the consumer segment. “TAITRA announces the keynote speech by Intel’s CEO, Pat Gelsinger, which will take place on June 4. In line with the theme of artificial intelligence for this year’s exhibition, Gelsinger will present the next generation of products for data centres and the consumer segment,” TAITRA noted.
Intel’s AI technology and Future Processors
In the recent press release, TAITRA also mentioned that Intel would discuss how its Xeon, Gaudi, and Core Ultra product lines are used in artificial intelligence-related tasks. Like the current Meteor Lake chips, the future Arrow Lake processors will feature a special AI accelerator (NPU).
AMD’s Participation in Computex 2024
AMD’s CEO, Lisa Su, has also confirmed her participation in the upcoming Computex 2024 exhibition. Su will present a report on June 3. New announcements are expected from AMD, including the launch of the new Zen 5 architecture and processors based on it.
