Qualcomm to Unveil New Mobile Processors on March 18

Qualcomm, the American manufacturer, has planned a special event for March 18 to unveil its new mobile processors. Hinting towards the launch of “new flagship products” in their promotional materials, it’s likely to witness the release of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 system-on-a-chip (SoC) platform, alongside the anticipated Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

The Anticipated Features of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3

According to rumors, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 seems to be a trimmed-down version of the current flagship, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The new chipset, codenamed SM8635, is structured on TSMC’s 4-nanometer process node. It possesses a primary processor core clocked at 2.9 GHz coupled with an Adreno 735 graphics core operating at a frequency of 900 MHz.

The regular version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 operates with its primary core at a frequency of up to 3.3 GHz and the Adreno 750 graphics core at 770 MHz.

Limited information is available surrounding the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. However, it is known that the chip bears the model number SM7650. It is anticipated that the OnePlus Ace 3V smartphone will be the first to feature this processor.
