miHoYo, a Chinese game developer studio known for Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, has announced the release date for their quasi-free post-apocalyptic role-playing action game, Zenless Zone Zero, following an April leak.
A trailer from The Game Awards 2023 in December announced the 2024 release of Zenless Zone Zero. A month ago, the game’s page in the App Store revealed a specific date; July 4th.
It has now been confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero will indeed be available on July 4th. The platforms include the PC (available on Epic Games Store and the official website), PS5, iOS and Android. The game has received over 35 million pre-registrations, a number that continues to grow.
The developers thanked gamers for their interest in Zenless Zone Zero and their support of the project. They also announced the launch of an online event titled “On The Way Purchase“, where participants can win several in-game items.
Along with the release date for Zenless Zone Zero, the creators unveiled the trailer for the next character—a werewolf named Lycan. The trailer is fittingly titled “Wolfishly Charming”.
Set in the near future, Zenless Zone Zero’s world is being torn apart by mysterious natural disasters (caverns), forcing people to find refuge in the last bastion of civilization, the busy city of New Eridu.
As proxies (guides), players will fight monsters. The game boasts multiple factions, fast-paced battles and eye-catching combos with three-person squads. It also features an atmospheric soundtrack.
